NFL Star Duane Starks Celebrity Retirement Weekend

Task

The Skky Brand served as the official event planners and directors of Duane Starks NFL Retirement & Charitable Weekend.  As the organizer, The Skky Brand responsibilities included but were not limited to event management, venue scouting/liaising, sponsorship accrual, in-kind support, sponsorship benefits, celebrity relations, staff assignments, crisis management, logistics, décor, red carpet management, event collateral design, public/media relations, and registration.

The star-studded weekend included a Welcome Party (Friday), Celebrity Roast & After Party (Saturday), and Beach, Ballers & Bikini Bash (Sunday).

Special guest attendees included actors Morris Chestnut and Allen Payne; movie and TV producers Will Packer and Rob Hardy; NFL players Edgerrin James and Plaxico Burress; sports agent Drew Rosenhaus; celebrity DJ Kid Capri, and a host of other athletes, entertainers and socialites.

All of the proceeds raised during the weekend were donated to the Starks Charitable Foundation, a non-profit organization designed to ignite hope and opportunity to economically challenged youth and families; and research for Hyperglycemia.
