The Skky Brand was honored to be selected by client Pure Media Group to serve as the official Producers and Directors of the 2016 SERVIR U.S. Gala-Houston hosted by First Lady Henriette Konan Bedie(Ivory Coast-Africa). As the organizer, The Skky Brand responsibilities included but were not limited to event liaising, vendor requisition and management; celebrity booking; budget management; invitation distribution; guest list management; run of show; event production/directing; staff assignments; crisis management; gift bag assembly; logistics; and more.
In 1996, Madame Bedie (former First Lady of Cote d’Ivoire) formed the SERVIR Organization, to provide a lifeline for people suffering from kidney failure. In 2011, she expanded the mission and set out to build a hospital that specializes in the cure and care for renal disease in West Africa.
The 2016 SERVIR Gala not only benefitted the hospital building fund, but served as a catalyst to forge international healthcare relations and strategic partnerships with United States leaders.
This exclusive event was co-hosted by actor, director, and musician Malcolm Jamal Warner; Real Housewife of Atlanta Cynthia Bailey; and actress, author, and star of “From the Bottom Up” Stacii Jae Johnson. Special guests also included the Honorable Houston Vice Mayor Jerry Davis; Bahamas Consul General Paulette Adderly-Zonicle; Cote d’Ivoire Ambassador Daouda Diabate; CEOs, business executives, and Houston influencers for an exclusive evening with a private dinner, casino-style reception, and live entertainment by soulful songstress Crystal.
All guests were gifted with luxury BMW duffle bags for their support.
The highlight of the evening was Houston Vice Mayor Davis presenting Madame Konan Bedie with an official proclamation.
All proceeds raised were donated to the SERVIR organization.
