The Skky Brand founded and curated the Inaugural Brain, Brand, and Beauty HBCU Collegiate Conference hosted by Alabama State University. The elevated one-day experience, powered by It Girls Initiative, was designed to empower currently enrolled female students at Historically Black Colleges & Universities.
It featured workshops, keynote speeches, and panel discussions, all led by industry experts in diverse fields such as leadership development, career pathways, life management skills, etiquette and self-esteem training, cyber predators and sex trafficking, beauty and fashion trends, and more. Additional highlights included a career expo, 360 photo experience, a DJ, food, swag bags, and giveaways. A deserving sophomore student was awarded the Bessie Elizabeth Scholarship.
ASU marked the first stop of the nationwide tour that will visit HBCU campuses across the United
States.
